383 swap

I own a 20 foot VIP with a 305 alpha drive not happy with the performance. Looking to swap to a 383 marine crate motor this winter anyone do this swap and will my out drive handle around 350 horse?

Alphas are rated at 300 hp max.

Lots of folks running hopped up small blocks in front of Alpha's.... A 383 will test the alpha's heath if you are hard on it.

Just don't do full throttle lift offs.
