I have a mid-70's 35hp, it sat for approx 20 months with the gas in, when I cleaned the carb with spray carb cleaner, I removed the mix-screw,
when I did, I didn't count the # of turns from seated,(I know STUPID!! ) also a small "O" ring came out of the port with the screw. This ring has square outer shoulders and one tapered inner shoulder. I have tried every setting for the screw from 1/2 turn to 2 1/2 turns, but still it will not run at high speed in gear, it starts and idles fine but bogs down when in gear and throttled up. I have installed new plugs and all new fuel lines from the tank to the carb.
I need to know the positioning of the "O" ring and the # of turns out for the mix-needle.
Thanx

Thanx Greg and Norman 158,
I don't see any other jet or mix screw on that carb, (carb is TILLOTSON WB3A), also I have disassembled and cleaned it once, but I will go thru it again and pay particular att. to the main jet.
Again thanx I will let you know how I make out
