i just got my boat out of the shop and it was running ok. its a 1987 bayliner omc 350. they replaced the black box{module} and put in new plugs and wires. i was running wot for about 5 min or so and motor seemed to be acting funny. i openened up the engine compartment and there was oil laying in the bilge area. thought it might be a front seal. cleaned it off and ran about 2hrs keeping an eye on it but no more oil noticable anywhere. also after noticing the oil, when i tried to start it up it did and idle was fine but, everytime i start it up and go to put it in gear it stalls out. after about 5 times it will go on and run. does this in forward and reverse. i bent the shift assit switch in and out and the engine is pulsing but will not stall. isnt there a way to adjust a cable in there to stop the engine from dieing out while putting it in gear? i also rasied the rpm a little but did nothing. any help would be appreciated. just had a tune up of points plugs and wires also.
