Well I had my boat out today....and had to get towed back :-(
I changed to the oil, fuel/water separator, cap and rotor (yes i know I should have done that in the winter) and headed to the lake.
I get it into the water and it wouldn't fire up. The problem is I can't hear the pump prime. After messing around with the throttle and turning the key on and off thinking it might be some kind of neutral switch it primed and I thought great we are on our way!!!!
Boated for about 5 minutes and had to shut it off from over heating....because I'm a dumbass and didn't hook up the black hose of the water pump ( lower hose) from that point if I played with the throttle the pump would prime but it only did that for about 4 more times and then it never primed again.
Ended up getting towed back to the dock and loaded it back on the trailer.
Did I fry the fuel pump? could it be a switch
