35 hp evenude coughing

I just bought a 35 hp evenude it ran fine yesterday morning after I fixed the trailer and was reddy to put in water I stated it and it cought it makes it stall at low speeds if reved up it coughs had and keeps going hoping it the carb.
it is a
35 hp evenrude model no 35R76G serial no E4456562

Sounds like it's starving for gas. Could be a gummed up carb, worn out float/seat, or problems with the fuel pump.

How does it run when warmed up? If runs well when warm, your priming system may need work.

thanks for the replys I went out to look at carb and found a split air hose under carb and replaced it it idials fine now but it still coughs at higher rpms not as hard though more like a studder Ill clean carb next and hope it good thank for the help
