35 chrysler float bowl

Does anyone know if I can use permatex for the float bowl in place of float bowl gasket

don't know if permatex will work, but I just replaced bowl gasket last week. I used that roll of cork gasket maker stuff. works like a champ.

permatex is not a good idea if you cant find the right bowl gasket try your local auto parts store for a o ring most parts stores will have a good assortment

Thanks for the come backs. Couldn't find an O ring so I did get gasket material. Just have to cut it right. Besides the small problem of the float bowl leaking boat runs like new.<br />

You can get a new gasket with carb kit from Napa auto parts stores #18-7037...just a Thought
