30hp Tohatsu

I have a superlight inflatable tunnel boat and i am shopping for a tohatsu 30hp as I have heard they are excellent outboards.I would like to know if freshwater vs saltwater motors is a big issue and if there are favored years/ models in the older 2 cyl. ones as I am buying an older motor.thanks in advance.

If the engine is older than 5 years and is a saltwater engine...Caveat Emptor.

The 30 A series has been around for 25 years without any problems.
