How much can I expect to spend on the build of a quality 300-350 HP SBC engine. This power will be going into a 88' Larson Senza V-220. Who should I look to for a rebuilt outdrive that will handle the power. I will be using the boat on a small freshwater lake for tubing, skiing, and cruising. What kind of prop is recommended? I basically want to re-power the boat, any ideas or recommendations on block, cams, heads, pistons, accessories, and carb?

Kinda broad questions considering we don't have a clue what you are starting out with.

A cracked block and an outdrive in unkown condition. Looking to replace the engine with a new block and having a local shop rebuild it unless you guys recommend something else as I'm new to the whole scene. I don't think I'm going to bother with the outdrive and just replace that with a rebuilt one. Any leads on piecing a good powerplant together would be great.

I'm also interested in a list of tools and other items that should be replaced at this time, I like Ebay!
