30 hp mariner

I am having a heck of a time finding a lower unit for this boat.I bought it and the guy had it in the garage for seven years and the lower unit had water was rusted solid.I would like some direction from the pros on which other lower unit might interchange 30e689411621 appreciate any help thanks Ken.

A 28 or 30hp will interchange...best bet is to try Ebay or craigslist..

I have been looking for awhile does that number for the motor look like one of those yamaha mariner motors? thanks Ken

Yes, it is a Japanese Mariner built by Yamaha.

Can anybody help me get the year it doesn't come up 1988 I thought it was an 88.

So it's a 1984 I have been looking for that info for awhile thanks Gerry,maybe now I can find a lower unit I had been asking for a 1988 cause that's what the boat is.
