I have a 1980 30 hp mariner. Was running great then lost power and died. The outlet of the fuel pump was broken so I replaced the pump. Now the engine is hard to start and when it does it makes a popping sound like it is missing and won't idle. Ii have cleaned the carb and fuel filter several times. Gets plenty of fuel from the new pump. I am at my wits end. Please help.
