Ok the story is, few weeks back blew compresion ring in number 1 piston, pressurized crankcase and spit oil out dip stick (not good). So I tore down the engine, found that number 1 piston was damaged so I replaced all the pistons, rings and rist pins with new forged piston, while i had it apart decided to replace all lifter, and replace rockers with scorpian roller rocker 1.73 ratio. Push rods were great so I re-used them. All new gaskets from oil pan to head.
Now After all was said and done filled her with fluids and fired it up. It now has a hard knocking coming from the back of the engine sounds like it is coming from #4 piston. It has a weird beat to it though, not with timing at all or one half timing like valve train issue would sound, it will some times be in time with the moter then change to be way off time with motor!? I am try to get some ideas on were to look first, i plan on doing a slow tear down this weekend to inspect every moving part.
Is there anything you guys think I should pay extra close attention to?
I have attached a few photos of my work did a little cleaning and painting since it was apart.
