3.6mercury dying

p.s the reeds look normal?<br /><br /> I have a 3.6 merc. Model#5758648.What its doing is it well run for a short period of time, 1 or so minutes then die.Runs great while its running then just before it dies it sort of backfires then dies immediately.The float reservoir ends up low.No problem with the fuel getting to it.It well fill itself back up after it stops
