3.5a dies when i turn choke off

So i replaced my impeller cleaned everything up and it works good. Except, that when i goto turn the choke off the motor sputters and dies. What should i adjust? The mixture screw on the carb? Which way?<br /><br />Any other recomendations?<br /><br />Regards<br />Brian

You can try richening the mixture (turn counterclockwise), or the carb may be gummed up. Not at all unusual on little egg beaters. They use so little gas, it's hard to use it fast enough to keep it fresh. On little motors, it's a really good idea to run a fuel stabilizer all the time.

Some of the passages on that carb are so small, it doesn't take much to gum them up. You are likely going to have to pull the carb and soak and clean it.
