3.5 Tohatso 2 stroke carb adjustment

I am new here and this may have been addressed. I rebuilt my carb and need to adjust slow/fast idle screw on side of carb. Also, throttle lever tends to slide down to slow setting in a short time. Thanks for your input.

Welcome to Iboats,

The air/fuel setting is fixed, if adjusting without a induction tach, start egine and warm it properly, place throttle lever fully down. Adjust idle speed screw CC enough so engine stays on when gearing forward, re adjust if needed till this condition is achieved. With respect to throttle lever sliding dow, there's a middle screw that secures lever to bracket, with a phillips screwdriver adjsut screw till the desired load is achieved and lever doesn't fall down.
