I just went through this motor because the carburetor somehow got clogged and i started it up for no more than 30 seconds in my garage to tune it correctly. When i put it in the water to test it ran great but wasnt pumping water and got very hot very quickly i immediately turned it off. I believe i Burned the impeller when i started it in the garage so i tried to drop the lower unit which got stuck. I did some research and found that you had to disconnect the shift linkage which i can not seem to find. it is not in the same place as many videos on youtube indicate any help would be appreciated!!
