My 3.5 chrysler starts easy, but it runs 15 seconds and dies. I think th needle valve it sticking. And gas runs out of the carb. When I tap it lightly with a hammer the gas quits running, but the engine still runs only 15 seconds. I can't find a new or used needle valve assy. The low and high speed jets are open 1 1/2 turns. I'm not sure the carb is the right one. Help!

Sounds like a good time to drop the carb and clean 'er out. Sometimes if you remove the crud, the old needle and seat will work fine.

If you have a model number and a year for the motor you might try NAPA for a rebuild kit. They run about 12 bucks. Not sure they have one for that size motor
