Where can I buy bearings, races and seals for a 3'4" spindle? The hub measures 1 3/4" ID. The trailer is from around 1972. Every magazine I have only sells 1" or larger.

Mike
Caesars Creek

Get the numbers off the bearings and go to any bearing supply house in your town. Larger auto store chains like NAPA may be able to cross reference and get them for you as well.

That's a problem....the bearings are very, very old and Romania is stamped on them. I live in the boonies and it's easier to have them delivered. The price of fuel and all....

If they are stamped "Romania" I doubt they are really old...unless you imported the trailer from a comunist country some years agao.....again, just take the bearings with you on your next trip to civilization and have a bearing shop (Motion Industries has branches all over the place) or NAPA match them up.

Lebannon...home to SOG and the Golden Lamb.....political kingdom of Corwin Nixon.

If you think a 351W 4bbl sucks fuel....you should have owned my old 1979 F150 w/ a 460 4bbl.
SINGLE DIGIT fuel mileage. I put 200,000 miles on that truck and kept a lot of refinery workers happy.

My current driver - Y2K SuperDuty F250 Crew Cab 7.3 diesel 4x4 gets 17-19 highway w/ cruise set.

Michael,

I have 3/4" on the outer hub on all four of mine. You need LM11949 (Bower OEM #). BCA/Federal Mogul calls it a A-2 now.

I had no problem finding them.

Hey Keith,

If your measurments are:

Hub: 1 3/4" ID (2" OD)
Seals: 1 3/4" OD
Bearings: 1 1/2" OD (tapered)
Axle/Spindle: 3/4" OD

Then I'm in business with the numbers you provided.
Are my measurments close with yours?

Thanks Keith,
Mike

LOOK HERE

This might help you.

I got my bearings from Wheel and Rim. They have branches I believe in Dayton and Cincinnati.
