3.3 HP Johnson.

Hi folks.
Is it worth buying a 3.3 HP Johnson outboard. Year 1991. Running perfectly. I hear some parts for these are very difficult to get. And indeed when you look online a lot of parts are not available with the suppliers. Do parts off other brands fit these. ?

Made offshore.-----Marketed with different color paint / decals / brands.----Their contracts for spares differed.----When stock runs out , you are out of luck.----Johnson did not make the parts , so they can not remake / supply spare parts.

It's the Bic lighter of outboards....getting the cowling off is enough for me.

these are 100% tohatsus. they have brand new powerheads on marineengine.com for $80! actually i think i saw one for $60 and i ain't kiddin'/ makes me want to pick one up cheap and make it brand new. things weight what like 25 lbs?

i did too but apparently not. always thought OMC only partnered with Suzuki. strangely Mercury also used the same powerheads! so thats Mercury, OMC and Nissan/tohatsu all using the same powerhead and i think mid/gearcase too.
