3.0L mercruiser id question.

Hi Boat wizards

This is by far the best boat forum on the net! i have read alot of posts
I have just bought a new boat, my first with an inboard, its a Stingray 556zpx from 1993, and it has a 3.0L Mercruiser engine with serialnumber: 0F017736.

Question:
Can anyone see what engine i have? a 115 or 135HP version?
My engine cover looks like this:

On the cover it says WOT 4200-4600 and sparkplug AC-MR43T..

if i look at this manual: http://www-alt.mercurymarine.com/mnetdata/Service/Cruiser/Servmanl/13/13covr2.pdf (21mb) it says that those WOT and sparkplugs are for the 115HP engine.. The seller said that it had a 135hp engine, but now im in doubt..

What is the differense betwene those 2 engines, only caburator? looks like everything else is the same..

Can any of you tell me what engine i have? Thanks in advance

You have a 3.0L, (115hp), not an LX (135hp).
The head and valves are different between the two.

What about the caburator? can i take a head and caburator from a LX and fit my L engine?

I know the heads are different, the intake/exhaust manifold is different, and the carb is different. What all the other differences are, I don't know.
That is a lot of parts and money for a gain of only 20 hp on a 4 cylinder engine.
The new replacement parts I listed above if purchaced from Merc are well over $2000 US.

i dont get it, the boat wit 2 persons in it goes 42,5Mph its a 18feet long boat, wound it be abel to run that fast with a 115hp??

For that $2,000.00 you might see 43Mph............

I got a 97 3.0 on a 175 searay(18') and my top speed is around 38 on the dial...dont own a gps yet..

Mine 42,5mph is GPS mesured.. is yours a 3.0l or a 3.0lx?
