3.0 volvo penta water pump$$$$ ??????

i just took my boat to get serviced. having problems with the boat not pulling water into the engine. i have a 1996 17ft glasstron with the 3.0 volvo penta. if its the water pump what should i expect to pay??????

this is my first boat. it has 180 hours on it. put it in the water a couple weeks ago and it overheated pretty quickly so took it back to landing. hooked up the earmuffs and its not pulling water in. so maybe the water pump,impeller,thermostat??? and what could i expect to pay to have this work done for each???

It Won't be Cheap,.....
The Labor,+ Extras will be higher than the ridiculous price of the Parts.....

That's why most of Us are at this forum,.....
We do it Ourselfs......

Impossible to answer any of your questions. Might ask the guys doing the job. They can actually see the access to the pump and also determine what the problem is.
Besides. they don't base their prices on what a forum says it should cost anyway. They go by real life and actually seeing what they are quoting.

i hear yea all. ive been told these places will ripp you off. wish i was mechanically inclined enought to fix it myself. i dropped it off to them today so i dont expect to hear anything for a few days. just wanted to get an idea of what others have paid so im not shocked LOL

damn dude. i was just asking what other people might have paid for the same type of work. if you dont want to help thats fine. but thats what a forum is for. geez man
