My 1989 3.0 merc is fouling new plugs and quits running after about 45 minutes of operation (unless I put in another new Plug). <br /><br />I am using Mercruiser premium oil and am using 50:1 mix.<br />I've had a response from this website asking me to check the lean/rich mixture by turning this control until it starts to run rough. The only problem is no matter how far I turn it either way the engine runs the same!...what does this mean?any other suggestions out there?
