Hi,

I am replacing the manifold and elbow on my 99 Bayliner with the 3.0. Serial number is L374668. I am trying to find out what torque to use on the manifold and the elbow bolts. Additionally, should I use any perfect seal or anything else on the new gaskets or just bolt them in place? Thanks for any help.

Re: 3.0 manifold replacement

Gaskets go on dry (ENSURE you use Merc genuine gaskets!).

Manifold to head torques are, for the centre bolts 20-25lb-ft, outer bolts 15-20lb-ft, re-torque after 20 hours.

Exhaust elbow bolt torque is 20-25 lb-ft.
