3.0 lost all power!

FYI, if you ever lose all power suddenly, check the wires at the starter. There are 2 number 8 or number 10 wires that go into a single connector. The thin blade on that connector broke off at the lug on the starter terminal, Total sudden loss of power. 2004 3.0 merc with I/O unit.

that 90A block originally was to protect the alt and wiring, merc added the Red main system power to it for whatever reason. Why have a 50A after a 90A . I modify the wiring by adding the system power wire "Red" directly to the battery post and use a Maxi-Fuse crimped to the alt feed "Orange" . Everything is still safely protected. and if you decided to use the 90Ablock all that would happen is that you lose the charging but the motor still runs not leaving you stranded

I found a pack of 3/8 x #6 wire crimp connectors. The stud on the starter fuse is 5/16 so I drilled a couple of real copper penny's out to 5/16 to make washers to clamp them good. So far so good.
