I have a 2003 Honda BF2D the has a hole in the valve cover (rusted thru) I want to remove the power head - I got all the bolts on the under side out, the power head is loose but something is still holding it down - almost feels like a spring. Do I have to undo the exhaust from the power head or what am I missing - thanks?

It appears the exhaust tube is stuck in the rubber piece in the mid section - Does the exhaust need to be removed at the power head or is the exhaust tube suppose to pull out with the power head? The bolts for the exhaust are completely rusted so I would have to drill them out if removal is necessary

It appears the centrifugal clutch is holding it down that is why I feel the spring sensation - any ideas how to release it?

In case anyone else wants to know you have to remove the exhaust pipe at the powerhead

I just found your post and am preparing to remove the engine on my 2hp honda bf2d to repair or replace the clutch and have the same problem that the exhause pipe bolts are rusted. How did you end up removing them because according to the manual, I need to remove the exhaust pipe to remove the clutch. Just trying to get some tips on what tools I need to buy.

Thanks
