Re: 28hp Johnson No Spark
Thereset

If you have no spark at the plugs try the simple things first. Unhook the kill wire off from the switch box. This will tell you if you have a bad kill switch or harness. Probley a black and yellow wire. If that does not work than check all connections to see if you see something wrong. If still nothing than chances are you could have a switch box gone or stator. The stator charges the switch box. You can remove the two wires going to the stator and do a ohms test. If you have no reading, than the stator is gone. If that seems to be ok than the problem is probley the switch box.

The right way is to get the exact readings on you motor, you can get them from
www.outboardparts.com. The electrical part of there web site. The only problem is that you need a DVA meter to get the reading they are giving you. You also can get the parts you need from them.
Not a easy thing to narrow down without the proper meters. But if I had to guess I would say it is the switch box if everything else checks out.
