Well got the boat out last weekend. Got it running ok. Only real problems are it hates start up when cold. Like all others I guess.<br />The problem I have is at idle and not in gear. The motor revs up high then cuts abruptly to low revs. It them works it way back up to the high rev point again. This cycle continues until I put it into gear. <br /><br />Any ideas? Thinking it is a timing issue or a bad reed valve.<br />28hp 'rude 1987
