280 out drive boots

Looking for boots to do a swap mine or thrashed. Anyone have a line or know which ones will fit.

#26 is the exhaust bellows

#67 is the ujoint bellows

Upper Gear Unit: Drive 280 : DRIVE 280 - 7744020 - Volvo Penta

you'll also need #7 and 31 (orings) for installing the upper gear assembly.

BTW, if you're ujoint bellows is "Thrashed", you'll most likely need ujoints, at least.

Pull the upper and have a look before ordering your parts. Here's how.

You might want to perform the pressure and vacuum tests before disassembly, so that you're aware of other seals and o-rings needed.

Thanks for the response. The diagrams and info were very helpful. I will need the u-joint bellows for sure. The boat has been baking in the Louisiana sun for years and hasn't been run so I hope the u-joints are okay. Do I just check for slack? The lower unit oil was clear. Is that a good indication that other seals are okay.

But there's nothing wrong with hoping...Pull the upper off and it will tell the story.
