250 SHO VF250LA
Rigged on a 2010 Skeeter FX20

Two wires blue and green, run from the trim solenoid thorough the wiring harness to the back of the engine. They terminate at this small circuit board along with the black wire. (No idea where the black wire comes from.)

It is burned on the green side.
I have had intermittent trouble with trim up.
Works both ways on the motor switch. Only down on helm switch.
Today works both ways on all switches.

Any idea what this part is? I need one.

It is a diode assembly. Not sold separately.

Diodes can be found most anywhere. Just splice them in and reseal.

What would cause it to burn like that? Also, any certain specs on the diode?
Also also curious what it does in this application. The skeeter boat has the digital switching system and I assume that as some function in that

Nothing to do with the boat. Most all Yams have a diode assembly in the engine harness for the trim and tilt system.

Specs? From Yamaha? Shirley, you jest.

Google coils and diodes.

Electrical stuff just breaks down and fails at times.

Just get some like sized diodes and splice them in.

Not letting me post an image of a diode assembly.

Now I get it. There was a second diode where the burn part is. Green and blue have one-way traffic to the ground. Sort of protection from going up and down at once. Should be easy to replace. Thanks for your help

I'm still a little confused by the voltages needed etc. AttachediAttached a picture of a common cathode assembly. Will this work?

Send me your mailing address via PM and I will give you a diode assembly from another Yamaha model. You just splice it in.

Sent you a p.m. with address but haven't heard anything. Were you able to send? Bored possibly a part number or picture of what you're going to send? Trim stopped working again
