Has any one had a problem with getting their 2003 250 HPDI Yamaha motor fixed.

We can't get a prop shaft and the boat has been down almost 4 weeks.

No one at Yamaha can give me a delivery date on the part.

Sounds like you owned a OMC engine.

DTS, I guess you love Mercury, to bad the Mecury 115 and 225 4S's are Yamaha's....

Back to the real post, that sucks, spend that kind of money to wait for parts

What happened to the prop shaft that you need a new one? If it was bad from the beginig I'd be sreaming to get it fix sooner!

Hope it works out quickly for you!

That are bulid by Yamaha but it is stil a Mercury product. Dealing with Yamaha for parts and service is a pain in the ass. FYI the P/h's on the 75/90 are also a Yamaha.

Black is the Best

Re: 250 HPDI Yamaha 2003

For anyone who cares. One of the prop blades fell off. Prop was covered but now we are trying to get the repairs to the motor covered.

No we didn't hit anything and the rest of the blades were in perfect shape.

It took over a month to get the replacement shaft and this is the same shaft that is used in all 250's not just the HPDI.

This was the only 250 motor that Pathfinder offered with on their new 2003 24' boat.

We considered getting just the hull from the dealer and getting the motor from an outside source but that just created more problems.

The boat is running now but the down time was very frustrating considering we live on an island you can only get to by boat or plane and we don't fly.
ncci
