Is there a kit I can buy to extend my shaft so it will reach in the water deeper?<br />And where can I get a kit like this<br />Thanks<br />Steve simone@key-net.net

Not persay a "kit".. The Merc 20/25 use a one piece motor leg. You have to buy a new motor leg(casting), driveshaft(about $300.00) new shift linkage, new water tube and gaskets.<br />Try one ofthe online outboard junk yards to find these parts first. Other wise, it will cost you as much as buying a good used outboard with a 20" leg.
