If you ran it without the battery hooked up, it certainy blew the rectifier. You must have the battery hooked up any time the motor is running. Was this before or after you replaced the rectifier?
It was running and I took off the red battery cable and it still run. put a volt meter on it and ir read 0.. <br />put a new rectifier on and it read 12.1 with cable hooked up.. I assumed I need 13 or more??
I don't think you will see much change in voltage on that motor until you get it up to 2K RPM. The next time you take it out, hook up a volt meter to the battery and watch it.
