ok, i have a 01' 25hp johnson 2-stroke/2-cylinder(j25tvsis) about every other time i use it the same thing happens. while underway at a high speed the engine suddenly dies. it will start back up but only run at a low rpm although in neutral it will still rev up normally. on several occasions this happend while hitting a major wake at speed. its like something is getting jarred around and then fails. sometimes after letting the motor sit a while it majically goes away and will work the rest of the day. somtimes not. it doesent seem to matter whether or not the motor is warmed up. i am using good fresh gas, the fittings, line, bulb and tank have all been replaced or are in very good cond. and i dont see any inline filter. cleaning the carb. seemed to fix it but after hitting a wake it failed again. any ideas? what part of the fuel system might fail when abrubptly jarred? any feedback would be greatly appreciated, thanks:confused:

If the engine is not overheating and going into S.L.O.W. mode; then I would look for a wire that may be rubbing on a sharp edge of the block with insulation cut and grounding out occasionally.
