25 HP Mercury Remote to Tiller Conversion

Hi,

I just bought a remote 2003 25 hp Merc w/electric start. I am looking to turn it into a tiller motor. I am looking to buy the parts used if possible or trade with someone looking to go remote. Please share any ideas or possible locations I could get these parts. Mercury has a kit but i am looking to do it cheaper than brand new. Thank you in advance

I was looking at the parts schematic and it shows a new carburetor as part of the OMC conversion kit? Is it different that what i already have? I do not understand the need for a different carb? If you know please fill me in on why this is required?
