25 hp Evinrude fuel pump isn't working

My 1977 25 hp Evinrude stopped pumping fuel, the motor will stay running if i pump the gas line bulb . How does the fuel pump work? Thanks

You can get a kit and rebuild it. Its pretty easy and not very expensive.

It works off the lower cylinder by pulsing. If the diaphram has a tear, small hole or has gotten hard over time, it won't work properly. Hope that answers your question!

So a rebuild kit is the way to go in this case, i will try this and see what happends. Thanks Alot

i rebuilt the pump and its still not pumping so i bought a new pump an still pumping weak?

what do you mean by weak? If motor will run good at wot, then ok! post back and let us know!
