Prop started slipping when revving up the motor. Motor producing more rpm's, but drive train seems to slip. Not a power output problem, but rather a slipping in the drive train.
Took lower unit off and after taking apart, all gears, bearings and bushings seem to be fine. No metal shavings in lower unit. Gear lube was contaminated with water, but gears shows no wear. Could this be a clutch problem? Any suggestions? Any help would be appreciated.
