I just took out my new ranger reata 211vs. It has a 225 etec. Prop is a cyclone 4 blade 14.25x17. my wide open rpm was at 5700. Ok hole shot top speed 41gps. I am at 7000ft in elevation for this test. Next trip will be to lake powell at 3600ft. Will this prop be good for that elevation? I need to buy a spare prop and would like to buy one good for the lake powell elevation. Ideas ?? The ranger is a heavy boat compared to my last 18ft stratos. I would like more top end speed without loosing hole shot. Ideas? Any 211 owners have this set up?

Re: 225etec prop

You will be a little underpropped when you relocate to 3600'. You are almost at max RPM now. You should be able to go up in pitch and gain several MPH.

If someone makes a better bass boat prop than the 4-blade Trophy Plus, I'd like to know about it.

Re: 225etec prop

so your saying stay the same size but go up to a 18 or 19 pitch. Stay with a 4 blade?
