225 hp

Have a change to buy a 2000 225hp Evenrude with a bad lower unit at a decent prive. Presently I have a 1989 225 hp Evenrude with a good lower unit. Does anyone know if the older lower unit will fit the newer motor? Thanks guys

there is a break off point where there is a change and i don't remember where. there are several people here that will know for sure.
