225 Ficht cold start problem

Hi
I have a 99 mod 225 Ficht who wont start when cold. A little spray with start gas in the air intake, and it starts right away. No start problems when the engine is warm. There is no warning lights, and it runs fine when started. Anyone out there got an idea?

I have the same motor (1999) and have had the same problem with cold starting. I have replaced the starter, many replaced plugs, and have to have a fully charged BIG output starting battery and have gotten by but still never starts easily. Once started it does run and starts great all day. Funny thing is if the motor is left down overnight and not tilted up it starts a lot easier the next morning (Ive only tied this a few times). Not sure why?? Now, the high pressure fuel pump seems to make a bit more of a whinning noise, when the key is turned on and even at idle , so maybe, could this electric circulation pump be the reason for this cold starting problem. Any ideas?
