Again, I'm a newbie to the site. Here is a thumbnail picture of my 22' Islander.

Can anyone tell me how to post full pictures on this site?

Thank you!

NICE BOAT! Welcome to iboats.

Most of us upload our pictures to photobucket.com and link to them from here. You can size them to the max forum-acceptable size of 640x480 right on that site. For each picture, they provide you with an IMG code link. That's that one you want to paste into your posts on here.

Nice rig blackduck:) Welcome to the Starcraft club and iboats.

Looks like a perfect salmon boat, what year is she? Looks like an early 90s late 80s model based on the colors.

What's she powered by?

Re: 22' Islander hardtop

Thanks! She's a 1989 and is a perfect salmon/steelhead boat. I added rocket launchers to the top which are not pictured in this picture. Powered by the standard 4 cylinder i/o with an OMC outdrive. She moves a little fast when trolling downwind when it's windy, as the hardtop acts like a sail. I bought a trolling plate that I'm looking forward to installing and hope to slow her down enough to possibly walleye fish! Any experience with trolling plates? (I prefer to avoid seabags if possible). The one I purchased is an easy-troller.

We used to use a trolling plate on my dad's 90hp Johnson when we were trolling for salmon and trout in Little Traverse Bay(I grew up in Petoskey).

It worked well and we were able to idle right down to speed. Adding a kicker does help on fuel economy and we've used our share of those as well.

Good luck:)
