21' Sea Cat 1993 C/C is rated by the plate for 180 HP. It has twin John90's 2-stokes (2000 yr) but all owner books/manuals are MIA. The Seller has no personal knowledge of the boat. What is the fuel tank size? I fish 20-35 miles off in 65-135ft and need to know estimated fuel range prior to this possible purchase. All comments on the Sea Cat and above engine set are welcomed. Is the Sea Cat also called a Sea Ox ? This is a true guts buy- what you see you bid on- no test ride, no chank them up-Thanks Mates

Re: 21'Sea Cat /Sea Ox help

i-boats has a 95' sea cat on this site and it mentions it has an 80 gal tank. The larger 24ft sea cats have 120 gal capacity and are fitted with duel 60 gal tanks. So, I'm not sure whether the one you are looking to get has a single 80 or twin 40's.In any case if it is in fact equipped with 80 gal capacity it should be sufficient to run 35 + miles off shore and back rigged with twin 90's.The sea cat is a highly rated boat on many comparison reviews. In addition the v-4 johnson 90's, if well maintained, are very reliable engines. The Sea Ox is a deep V design hull while the sea cat is a dual hull catamaran style.
