Hi guys, looking for a bit of advice on where to source a new gas tank for my whaler. It's a 21 foot Justice which seems to be based off of the outrage. There's a hole in the 133 gallon tank and I'm trying to find someplace to source a new one from. I'm located in central California so local would be good, but I'm open to sourcing from anywhere. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to iBoats . . .

Google is your friend. On a search there are Bay City Fab (Ventura CA) and American fuel Tanks (La Mesa, CA) that come up, and a few others not too far away. You may want to pick a company that is on the west coast to avoid excessive shipping charges.

Most of these companies can build you a tank based on the dimensions/design of your current tank. Make sure you are sitting down when you get the price quote.

Your existing tank should have a manufacturer's label on it, if you want to contact the original tank manufacturer to have one made.

Right on, thanks. I did do a google search actually and I didn't get nearly the results you did. A buddy of mine said go on the forums and someone there will likely be able to help...so thanks for that! I'll look those guys up. Everything for the boat is expensive....I'd say don't get into boating if you want a cost-effective hobby.....haha

Another question though, do recreational boats need to have an aluminum tank or can it be some other material? I assume it's aluminum for fire hazard reasons, but aluminum seems to be expensive these days.

Believe it or not, I don't have a facebook account....I don't like their privacy policy....:-(...and I've noticed they do not allow you to view just about anything unless you sign up.

Moeller is a leading brand of plastic fuel thank. Aluminum is not a requirement.
