News and Notes

• Keso and Joey will be on the front row to start the Cup race.
• Ross Chastain will be in the Trackhouse seat of the #1 next year. No plans for Busch1 yet.
• The 23 truck will start at the rear for a driver change. Usually driven by Chase Purdy, he tested covid positive and Allmendinger is in the Truck. A few days a go, Nascar re-instituted the indoor mask rule.
• Trucks still have 3 open playoff spots to decide today.

Green flag and and a mess of Trucks bunch up in the first turn. Banged up trucks, but no caution.

Hill wins the 2nd heat, his first heat win of the year.

Austin hill won the Truck race after it was called for lightning. The Truck playoff drivers;



Ty Gibbs won the X-Race.

Elliott and Bell are the only inspection flunks. Of course, we may have unapproved adjustments.

Joey leads at the comp, caution. Elliott in 19th.

Joey wins the 1st heat and Elliott is inside the top 10 in 8th.

Stenhouse didn't pit and leads the heat restart until Truex takes over. Then yellow for Davison stalled on track.

Truex wins heat #2.

Elliott pit under green for flat-spotting his tires on lap 30. Since then he been running the fastest laps and is in 19th.

Elliott has moved to 10th. On lap 55 with Truex trying to hold up Bell and Larson, Larson spun Bell. No yellow.
