The 2021 season kicks off tonight with the running of the Busch Clash and the opening weekend finishes with the running of the 63rd Daytona 500.
The Clash is for pole winners from the prior season and a few other drivers, like past Clash winners. Because of the disrupted season last year, there were only 4 pole winners, so things were opened up some to make a 21 car field. Another change is the Clash will run on the infield road course, the first time it won't be on the oval.
The rest of the 2021 schedule has more road course races than ever, 7 this year and champion Chase Elliott must be grinning - Going back to 2019, he has won the last four.
