The title is a bit tongue in cheek, but if TWT doesn't win on Sunday he will blame someone since it's never his fault. Last week he doubled up by blaming Suarez and Joey.

Round 2 of the Cup playoffs begin Sunday, X-Men have their first playoff race and Trucks run in their 2nd race in the first playoff round. I checked the weather forecast, don't know why. Sunny, hot and dry. The race schedule from MRN;

News and Notes
  • Harvick is on pole with TWT beside him for Sunday's race,
  • In the It's Only Money category - Hendrick was fined 100 Grand for excess wind tunnel testing time. It was less than an hour over the max and they self-reported.
  • The plane crash last year at Bristol with Dale Jr. and family aboard has been ruled pilot error. The plane came in too fast and the pilots didn't take proper corrective action.
  • Going Down Hill - X-Racer Jeremy Clements lost their primary team sponsor immediately when Repairables.com closed the cash register Tuesday.
  • 2021 Schedule - Two tracks added to the schedule. We knew about Nashvile, Austin's COTA road course track is new. Also the All-Star race will be at Texas, which a good move and it should rotate around tracks. Texas will lose one of their races with the All-Star move, which opens a date for Austin.
  • Cup On Dirt - Nascar chatter is that covering Bristol with dirt for a Cup race could be as early as the next Spring race. Lordy, moving the All-Star and not COVID related like the A-S to Bristol this tear, on dirt at Bristol and another road course. Nascar is going all out to attract new fans.
  • Previously Reported - Micheal Jordon and Denny Hamlin formed a Cup team and bought the Germain Racing team and charter, Bubba Wallace is the driver. And Ross Chastain to the #42 nest year.
  • Bristol Penalties - The biggie was the DQ of Truck #45 driven by Trevor Bayne for ride height violation. This was his 3rd Truck start this year and finished 5th after sitting out 2018 and scored in last place. Only loose lugnuts were the other penalties
  • TV Ratings - 1.24 and 2.1 million viewers for Bristol Saturday night on. That’s an improvement on the previous week’s Saturday night race at Richmond (1.05/1.07m) on the same network, but down from a 1.50/2.5m for last August’s Bristol Cup race, also on a Saturday night on NBCSN.

iBoats Fantasy Live
  • Our Bristol winner is Vega Kid. This is his first win of the year. Congrats, VK. :first:
  • It's still FlaCowboy on top of the leadboard and he added to his lead at Bristol.
  • iFL rosters lock at 7:15 PM EST on Sunday.

Good luck and stay safe;

Humpty.

Green flag! Competition caution lap 10.

Since I missed hitting Post - :doh: Yellow foe comp. caution.

So far - Natalie Decker didn't start, not medically cleared, one Truck scraped the wall and pitted for fender pull out and Jesse Iwuji blacked flagged for no working radio.

First real caution for Rhodes getting loose and spinning into the inside wall.

Creed lost the lead on the final heat restart, but sets it back after 6 laps.

Creed leads on the restart, then yellow flies for a car stalled on the exit of pit road. Went about 3/4 of a lap.

Creed couldn't catch Hill, got close, but not close enough. Hill takes the checkers.

X-Men run tomorrow evening.

I thought tonight's X-Race was starting about the same time as last night's Truck race. Only off by 1 3/4 of a heat. :doh:

Briscoe won the 1st heat and the 2nd heat. Only one real caution just be the competition yellow for Hill spinning. Ready to start the final heat. All caught up. :D

An odd debris caution. A tire rolled out of the pits and fell over in the infield grass.

On the restart with 40 to go, Briscoe leads.

With 13 lap left, yellow for a car dying on the backstretch and not quite getting back to the pits.

All cup cars passed pre-race inspection, no cars to the back. That's unless they find some unapproved adjustments. :smile:

After last week's race at Bristol, TWT blamed Suarez and Joey for him not him winning and said Joey had no friends among drivers. Today Joey responded - I'm said he isn't racing to make friends. :D

7:15 is still iFL roster lock time.
