The final doubleheader weekend and it will be a 2'fer Cup and a 2'fer X-Men, plus a Truck race. Trucks race Friday and Cup/X-Men race Saturday and both again on Sunday - Weather willing, Saturday and Sunday have scattered T-storms. MRN's schedule;

News and Notes

• After missing last week's race, Austin Dillon is back from COVID quarantine. Just like Jimmie Johnson missing one race, Dillon is in the same situation. I'm wondering about how good is Nascar's test.
• With the hot weather races and drivers having heat issues, Nascar is allowing a right-side "door" window modification. Most of it is gone except for the front portion with the NACA duct. The change comes with an aero penalty which affects the effectiveness of side drafting.
• Remember Kyle Larson? Nascar says they are reviewing his request to be reinstated and then they turn around and say he hasn't made a request. Make up your mind Nascar!
• The new starting position method has produced 2 pole sitters so far. Harvick last week and Elliott for Dover 1, both winners of the previous race. Wonder if this will be the norm?
• NextGen car testing is resuming. Cole Custer will test Monday and Tuesday at Dover.
• TV ratings - Rating was 2.04 and had 3.263M viewers. No comparison as this was the first time for Nascar using the Daytona road course.

• For lack of a single point and a missed garage driver swap, the 2nd place loser is kicking himself! Taking advantage, FlaCowboy roared to the checkered flag in a hail of rib bones. Congrats, Cowboy. :first: number 4 this year.
• FlaCowboy stretched his overall lead with a good finish on Sunday.
• After this weekend's 2 races and next weekend, the regular season comes to a close.
• iFL roster for Dover 1 locks at 4:15 PM ET on Sunday.

Missed the 1st heat in the Truck race. Hill won. 16 laps left in heat 2, Smith leading.

2 Smiths in the race. Z. Smith wins heat under yellow when a truck spun. The spinner was C. Smith and caught a piece of his teammate, Eckes.

Caution free final heat. Until 8 laps to go when Friesen spins. Zane Smith had a comfortable lead.

Back to green for the last 3 laps and Zane Smith held on for the win, his 2nd win. Smith is 50 grand richer with the Triple Truck Challenge 2nd leg payout.

With these double races, don't forget iFL locks at 4:15 tomorrow. X-Men at 12:30 and Cup at 4:20, then we'll do it again on Sunday.
