Power Rankings

BIGGEST MOVERS
Falcons up 5
Raiders down 5
1
team logo

Ravens
They have their eye on the top seed in the playoffs and the defense is improving and should get them there.--12-2-0
2
team logo

Packers
They haven't looked great for much of this season, but don't you think it's coming? They better hope it's this week against the Vikings.111-3-0
3
team logo

Chiefs
They are getting better by the week on defense. That will make them a real Super Bowl threat.110-4-0
4
team logo

Seahawks
They are now the top seed in the NFC, which would make for a tough trip for any NFC playoff team. They bounced back nicely against the Panthers after losing to the Rams last week.111-3-0
5
team logo

Patriots
The defense had a big day against the Bengals to get the team back on track. Now they face a huge division game with the Bills.111-3-0
6
team logo

49ers
What happened against the Falcons? The once-dominant defense hasn't been as dominant the past few games.411-3-0
7
team logo

Saints
They bounced back in impressive fashion against the Colts. The defense needed to show better than it did against the 49ers, and it did.--11-3-0
8
team logo

Vikings
That was an impressive road victory against the Chargers, doing so in dominant fashion. Now they face the game of the year against the Packers.--10-4-0
9
team logo

Bills
They are in the playoffs, which not many saw coming. The defense has really impressed this season. Can they beat the Patriots in Foxboro with that unit playing well?--10-4-0
10

Texans
Winning on the road against the Titans was impressive and a nice bounce-back from what happened against the Broncos. The defense rebounded nicely and one more victory gets them the division title.29-5-0
Iboats Pick 'em: * - Denotes tiebreaker used

Starting the Weekly NFL thread a day early caused me to switch to FOX and saw this;

maskedsinger.png

Can't tell if it's the Texans or Bucs with new TNF Color Rush uniforms.

You got Iron's head spinning.

I don't know why the NFL schedules like this. Did they decide that having a short week with a TNF game when division and wild cards are critical as the season ends? TNF is really a dumb idea anyway.

BTW - the Fox won Masked Singer and Wayne Brady was under the mask.

Got home from a Xmas get together to see the Bills turnover. We will know in a few hours if Buffalo can be in the same conversation as the Patriots. The Pats are vulnerable now. Let's see.

Can't score points when your offence is on the sidelines. Belichick has put together a power run and dink and dunk pass game today. Brady is looking good, of all days to make a comeback from a so so past few weeks. Belichick had Edelman giving an Oscar worthy performance limping around all week at practice, even grimacing and favoring his right knee during warm ups today. His knee looked just fine in the 1st half.

Well that was a great game. The better team won. It's as simple as that. The coaches in Buffalo have Josh Allen more disciplined as in staying in the pocket and not running. The kid is a running QB that is being hamstringed, is that a word? Let him run. I didn't see many set run plays for him like earlier in the season. The rest of the league and NFL fans are just getting a glimpse of what The Bills may become in the near future. On to the tourney 1 game at a time.

At least I am not leaving any money at the bookies or should I say the provincial government. We have legal sportsbook here in Ontario for the past 25 plus years. Free health care ain't so free.

That's just torture. Payback's a Bit^&. I put 2 of our 3 TV's in storage getting ready to sell our joint. Not a good move. I actually grabbed another 55" Samsung for cheap last week at Walmart for about 60% less that I paid for the 1st 55 years ago. An unauthorized buy. It went straight to storage. I paid more for our last Family dinner here for the 20 of us including libations.

A tricky time of the year for coaches. Do you tell your starters they might sit or don't you? You don't want the mindset of players to change. If they don't prep like any other game that's when they can get flat when it counts in a few weeks. I say prepare like it's a playoff game and be prepared to come out. It's tricky.

The talking heads were talking about the final game in the early 90's. The Bills wrapped up a bye and home field through the playoffs. The Bills were playing an NFC team and Ditka needed the Bills to win. MarvLevy told the press he was going to sit Kelly and crew, Ditka lost it as he needed a Bills win to make a Wild Card spot. Marv said Ditka has all year to make the playoffs, why wait till now?

Yup. It depends if teams have locked a position in the playoffs. If they have, you know the teams best players will be sitting....
