News and Notes
  • Smoke is driving a "stock car" again - Sorta. He's taking Haas F1 drivers around the track today as part of the weekend entertainment package for the US GP which is on Sunday.
  • BTW - The owner of the Circuit Of The Americas is unhappy that F1 and Nascar scheduled races only 3 hours apart on the same day.
  • Other than loose lugs at Martinsville, one of Joey's crewmen got a 1 week suspension for his part in the Joey/Hamlin scrum last Sunday.
  • Following his trip to the hospital last week, Matt Tifft is sitting out the rest of the season. JH Nemechek will pilot the #36 in the final 3 Cup races.
  • Pocono has a schedule confirmation for next year - 1,250 miles of racing. ARCA, Trucks, X-Men and back to back Cup races on Saturday and Sunday will make a full weekend.
  • Next year the Chevy Camaro ZL1 will be replaced with Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE. All it is decals cuz what makes the car a 1LE isn't related to Nascar. Big Deal
  • TV ratings - Once again only viewer numbers. 2.275 million viewers across NBCSN, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app, up 5% vs. the 2018 race (2.176 million).

iBoats Fantasy Live
  • 64osby avoided rib bones and sauce to take his 2nd win of the year. Congrats, 64. :first:
  • FlaCowboy added to his iFL overall standings. Now 125 points over 2nd place.
  • iFL pole locks at 7:00 PM on Saturday.

Good luck,

Humpty.

Pole locks at 7 PM tomorrow.

During interviews today, Hamlin is still on Joey's case. LOL

If you picked Harvic for the pole, you got 5 bonus points. Then Jones, Hamlin, BigBro, Bowman, Almirola, Suarez, Keso, Stenhouse and Matt D.

3:10, 4:10 if you didn't set your clock back, tomorrow afternoon is the race lock time.

Coming up is the X-Race at 8:30.

Bell won the X-Race at Texas. Many of the X-Playoff drivers had problems.

You have until 3:10 PM to get your rosters set.

3rd yellow for LaJoie eating the wall.

Elliott is 6 laps down and 66 points under the cut off. Looks like he must win next week to make the final 4 for Homestead.

4th yellow! Keso spins and for some reason, Stenhouse follows. They weren't even close to one another.

Keso's #2 resembles a Gremlin.

Keselowski said he just swung for the fence and hit it after leaving the care center. Um, Brad - The World Series is OVER!

Hamlin just went for a ride through the grass for #6. He kept going, but there can't be much left under the car after running over an access road and flying.

Fast Facts;

Prior to 2017, Johnson had led more than 500 laps in each of his 15 Cup Series seasons. He's led only 361 laps (and counting) over the past three years.

JJ's front of the pack run is over after 40 laps. He pitted early and Almirola is leading now.

25 laps to go in the heat.

Johnson brings out the yellow rag when he got loose and slid up into the wall.

Suarez was the leader with 146 to go.
