I know but I need the length in water and I can’t find itWebsites lists the length as 28’ with a OAL of 35’ and some change
are you looking for water-line length to determine a theoretical speed calculation, or are you looking for the length for dockage fees?I know but I need the length in water and I can’t find it
It has nothing to do with money. My marina is very strict I can only put a boat in my slip that is no bigger than 24’ length in waterare you looking for water-line length to determine a theoretical speed calculation, or are you looking for the length for dockage fees?
because if its dockage fees, they measure for you, and measure from the furthest aft portion of the swim platform to the bow pulpit and they add any anchor or gear that is hanging off.
Yep. And if theres a seagull sitting on the pulpit, they will measure to the end of his beak and charge for that also.are you looking for water-line length to determine a theoretical speed calculation, or are you looking for the length for dockage fees?

and if you have a fishing rod off the stern, they measure that as well.Yep. And if theres a seagull sitting on the pulpit, they will measure to the end of his beak and charge for that also.

Funny how that happens.I guess it would be good to know what the marina actually means by "length in water" . . . but it is a fair assumption that it is overall length, as that is what marinas tend to care about.
Possibly could mean 'water line length', but you would really need to verify that with the marina. Usually that spec is only relevant to sailboats and other types of displacement hulls, as it is indicative of the hull speed.
However , , , 24 feet overall is not much . . . I have been known to say that "boats 'shrink' when you put them in the water", but that is more of a feeling than reality.
