I have a 2017 19' Chaparral H2O and it does not sit in the water centered, it leans to the right. Any recommendations on how to resolve this?

Check weight distribution and/or for water intrusion.

Assuming this is at rest correct? Or is it leaning when underway??

With no people on the boat and all compartments and bilge empty the boat leans to the right.
Also when underway you can see it lean to the right.

I would leave the boat in the water for a few hours, then retrieve it OFF CENTER on the trailer (ie. load it wrong). That way you can see if one of the bunks is hiding a gouge which is letting in water.

**Recenter the boat on the trailer after investigating/before leaving the ramp.

Something on that side is heavier than the other so you need to investigate what exactly that is.

You may also want to contact Chap directly to see what they advise.

Thank you for the trailering suggestion.
If the boat is taking in water why won't I see the water in the bilge area?
Thanks again

If its in a sealed compartment, no. There's lots of areas you cannot access in this boat. I know, I own one.

I called a dealer and they have no idea.
I have a call into Chaparral.
I can't find any cross section drawings of the hull or anything like that to learn what is under the floor on the right side. Do you know where I can get that info?
Thank you

A well handled circular saw, a sawzall or angle grinder will open a window below decks, otherwise, drilling a dry hole....

Not likely to find a single reference, online or otherwise

If you had some place to weigh it empty and subtract the trailer weight, and gas, you would know if its over the spec weight (2540 lbs) and get an idea if there is a water intrusion problem going on. Any holes in the floor or in a fish tank or something similar possibly letting water get below the deck where its not supposed to be?

Have you owned the boat since new? Is this a new occurrence or has it always been this way? How bad is the lean? Do you have two batteries on the right? Stereo head unit? Subwoofer? It all adds up. Trim pump is on the right correct? As stated above check loading.

Too new for someone to have to do a refurb on already and manufacturers are very unlikely to share that info with the general public. So probably next to nothing available for what's under the deck beyond more than likely foam flotation.

If you are the original owner, there is a warranty. You might want to get the process underway on that with the marina and Chap.

There were (2) different 19 H20's that year - the Fish & Ski version (which has the livewell, trolling motor, etc) and what I will term the regular version which omitted all the fishing amenities. Which do you have? Motor?

On my Fish & Ski, the livewell is dead center under the rear seat, right in front of the engine access hatch. It's 2 batteries, one each side of the engine. Gas tank is dead center in front of the 4.3L v6.

The only thing Chaparral will tell you to do is to contact the dealer that sold the boat.
Chaparral would not even help me when my boat was about a month old.
