Anybody have any ideas why my 2016 merc 60 hp 4 stroke falls flat on its face when decelerating after wide open throttle. It is not a fuel delivery problem as both fuel pumps have been replace and are functioning as they are supposed to. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Just because the pumps have been replaced doesnt mean fuel delivery cant ve interrupted. Fuel hose failure is popular, as is fuel filter clogged. The gray fuel lines dont last very long and come apart from the inside, then it clogs the filters and fuel system. Worth a look see !!

I will ask my tech about that but he is saying fuel is flowing as it should so fuel delivery is not the problem. He was thinking spark plugs but I’m not convinced on that so next step is hooking up to the computer.
